Wolf, Casey call video of deadly officer-involved shooting in East Pittsburgh 'disturbing'

EAST PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Gov. Tom Wolf has called video showing an officer-involved shooting that resulted in the death of a teen in East Pittsburgh "disturbing."
"The video of this incident is deeply disturbing. Antwon Rose's family, friends and the entire community deserve the truth," said Wolf. "Like in all police-involved shootings, there must be a thorough, swift and transparent review and investigation of his death.
"The death of a child is horrifying, and we are all struggling to understand this heartbreaking tragedy."
"I am disturbed by what I saw on the video, and I have numerous questions about exactly what happened and why. A thorough investigation is necessary. Antwon’s family has a right to answers,” said U.S. Senator Bob Casey.
Protests have arisen following the shooting, where witnesses said that Rose was running away from the officer when he was fatally shot.
The shooting happened Tuesday after police stopped a car that matched the description of a vehicle that police said was involved in a non-fatal drive-by shooting earlier in the day.
Police said Rose and another person ran before the officer shot at Rose. Police have not identified the officer.
