'She will be missed:' Co-workers remember Somerset 911 dispatcher killed in crash

Co-workers are remembering an Irwin woman who was killed in car crash earlier this week in Somerset County.

On Tuesday morning, 20-year-old Kaitlynn Beatty was driving home from her shift as a dispatcher at the county’s 911 center when she was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Jefferson Township.

Somerset County 911 coordinator Angela Emerick said Beatty was a person with an infectious laugh and a “light to be reckoned with.”

“Katie was definitely a good-hearted person and she's definitely going to be missed.”

Emerick said that Beatty will be remembered as someone who had a positive impact on those around her.
