Coroner IDs victim of fatal Route 219 crash in Jefferson Co.

Jefferson County coroner Brenda Shumaker has identified the victim of Tuesday's fatal crash along Route 219 in Washington Township, Jefferson County.

Shumaker says 68-year-old Barbera Lundberg reportedly suffered a medical emergency prior to losing control of her vehicle and crossing into the opposite lane of travel.

Police say Lundberg's vehicle collided with a pickup truck that was hauling Porta-Johns.

Lundberg was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jefferson County coroner Brenda Shumaker confirmed to 6 News that a woman was killed earlier Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash along Route 219 in Washington Township, Jefferson County.

Officials say the crash closed the roadway for several hours after a passenger vehicle collided with a truck hauling Porta-Johns.

State police say the woman was traveling southbound on Route 219 when she crossed the center line and crashed into the pickup truck.

Police say the woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the pickup truck was not injured in the crash.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the woman and Shumaker says an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.

State police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

A serious crash has shutdown Route 219 in Jefferson County.

Details are limited but officials say the crash happened on the 3300 block.

The road has been closed between Westville Road and the Interstate 80 Brockway Exit in Washington Township.

State police say detours are in place.
