2nd UPDATE|Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities in Cambria County are providing new details on Thursday's fatal crash that shut down Route 22 westbound, near Ebensburg, for several hours. Cambria County coroner Jeff Lees identified the victim as 77-year-old Richard Dow, of Ebensburg. Investigators say Dow suffered massive blunt force trauma to his head and chest when his SUV was struck by a tri-axle truck near the Unimart intersection. Authorities also noted that the victim's family dog, a Maltese Poodle, was inside the vehicle at the time of the crash and suffered injuries that resulted in it having to be euthanized.

BEDFORD -- If you plan to take the Pennsylvania Turnpike, you might be digging for some extra change. That's because the 6 percent toll increase the Turnpike Commission approved last July took effect Sunday. The turnpike has been increasing tolls annually since 2009, after a financial plan approved in 2007 made the turnpike a funding partner for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Officials say they need the money because they're essentially building a brand-new highway from the ground up.

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — A Johnstown massage therapist is being accused of assaulting one of his clients, according to police. Police say 43-year-old Shawn Marker, owner of Marker's Massage Spa at 512 Goucher Street, is facing charges involving indecent assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. Police say a woman reported receiving a free massage for Marker's Massage Spa as a gift from her family for her birthday. The woman told police she went to the spa and Marker gave her a massage without incident in the summer of 2018.

Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — Johnstown police have filed charges against the individual suspected of shooting and killing another man in the Moxham-section of the city last month. Authorities have identified the shooter as 18-year-old Michael Cogdell, of Pittsburgh. On January 23rd, police were called to the 600 block of Park Ave. for a report of a gunshot victim. The victim, who was later identified as 41-year-old Marvin Price, was reportedly shot multiple times by another man near the former St.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WJAC) — People in Centre County got a taste of American Indian culture on Saturday at the first day of the 17th annual Penn State Powwow. An American Indian powwow is a traditional event within many native nations across the whole continent where people sing and dance, and share in language, culture, and food. While it's an event with deep spirituality, organizers also say it acts as a family reunion of sorts.
