UPDATE:BEDFORD CO, Pa (WJAC) — State police say a 17-year-old male was killed in Friday night's crash along Route 96 in Schellsburg. According to a crash report, the teen was traveling northbound, just before 10:30 p.m., when he swerved to miss debris on the roadway, lost control, and was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound. Troopers say the teen was pronounced dead at the scene and that the driver of the other vehicle was transported to Conemaugh Hospital with minor injuries.

Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) — Some quick thinking by neighbors in Gallitzin may have prevented an overnight house fire from being a lot worse. Officials say several area crews were called just after midnight Tuesday when flames broke out at a home on Grant Street. Authorities say they arrived to find flames shooting from the front of the house, which were even melting some of the siding on the home across the street.

WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING CO. (WOLF) — Police are investigating a double homicide in Williamsport. The Williamsport police department announced Friday that they are investigating a double homicide that occurred in the 1700 block of Terrace Place in the city. Officers received a report of shots fired in the area, and located a vehicle containing an adult male and adult female who were fatally shot. The victims were identified as Alisha Seese, 37, and Ronald Dailey, 37.

The owner of Hornung’s ACE Hardware in Linglestown, Bill Hornung, says supply chain issues have impacted every aspect of business including morale of employees.

2nd UPDATE |CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — State police are providing new details about Sunday's shooting in Brady Township, Clearfield County, that involved two juveniles. According to the affidavit, police say the teenager charged in the shooting, 14-year-old Aaron Klingensmith, reportedly asked the victim if she wanted to see his dad's gun. Investigators say Klingensmith then admitted to pickup up the Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm handgun and pointing it at the victim.

A 33-year-old Jefferson County man has been charged with child rape, accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl. According to a probable-cause affidavit, Damon Hamman began assaulting the girl at his Curve Drive, Knox Township, residence just after Thanksgiving. The assaults continued at least two more times, with the most recent occurring in mid-December, according to the affidavit. On Dec. 19 the girl was treated at Penn Highlands Brookville, where she told authorities about the alleged assaults, according to the affidavit.

The Hollidaysburg area school district school board met this evening for their regularly scheduled meeting , however many people still showed up to voice their opinions about the new policy attempted to be passed after a controversial book was brought into class by a teacher. The school board passed the second reading of their adult student boundaries policy but voted to table the policy regarding political symbols and activities stating that further discussion will be needed.
